Oral Surgery
An extraction is the complete removal of a tooth. Extractions are sometimes necessary if:
-
A primary tooth is preventing the normal eruption of a permanent tooth
-
The tooth has suffered extensive tooth decay or trauma that cannot be repaired
-
The patient has gum disease
-
The tooth is impacted - this is usually the case with the third molars, or "wisdom teeth," as they erupt years after the other teeth and often have insufficient room in the jaw
Orthodontics/Invisalign®
Our office offers two different types of orthodontic treatment: brackets and wires or Invisalign®.

Invisalign®
Invisalign® is an FDA-approved system that uses clear, removable aligners to incrementally straighten your teeth. There are no uncomfortable brackets or wires, and because you remove the aligners to eat and drink, there is no need to worry about food restrictions or problems with brushing or flossing.

Invisalign® begins with 3D computer imaging to map your entire treatment plan in advance, allowing you to see what your teeth will look like before you begin treatment. Using the imaging, a series of custom aligners will be created to incrementally move your teeth. The average treatment time from your initial teeth position to a brilliant, straight smile ranges from 9 to 15 months. The best part is that most people will never even notice you are undergoing treatment!

Even if you have healthy teeth and gums, your bite can affect your dental health. If your teeth are improperly positioned, you may suffer from an irregular bite. For these and other tooth-alignment issues, Garner Dental Group can fulfill your orthodontic needs.
Dental Implants
Dental implants serve as substitute tooth roots. Each implant is strategically placed in the jaw, where bone integrates with it to create a solid foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Benefits of Dental Implants:
-
Promote bone retention
-
Eliminate slipping, loose, wobbly dentures
-
Don’t require support from healthy teeth
-
Can last a lifetime
-
Look, feel, and function like natural teeth

Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth removal is a practice of preventative dentistry. A number of painful, long-lasting problems can occur due to the arrival of wisdom teeth. But with today’s dental technology, this procedure has been greatly improved to maximize your comfort and to speed up your recovery time.

In most cases, your recovery from wisdom tooth extraction will only last a few days. Your Garner Dental Group team will provide you with detailed information for recovery tips, and aid in any post-op needs.
Root Canals
When infection reaches the inner portion of a tooth, root canal therapy can relieve pain and save the natural tooth. This procedure removes infected tissue and seals the tooth to prevent further damage. A dental crown is recommended to cover and protect the treated tooth, restoring its strength, shape, and function. In many cases, getting a crown helps ensure the long-term success of the root canal treatment.
